Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you use this website and our Mac and Windows apps (KoalaShot, TidyCub). The data controller is JI'AN WANGDONG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (吉安市旺东科技有限公司), a limited liability company registered in the People's Republic of China (Unified Social Credit Code 91360802MADAP1JBXQ), at Room 806, No.801, Zongshanghui Building, No.9 Jinggangshan Avenue, Jizhou District, Ji'an, Jiangxi 343000, China. Questions: support@handycub.com.
1. The short version
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, no selling data.
- The Apps do their work on your computer. We never receive your screenshots, recordings, files, or file names.
- To run trials and licenses, the Apps send a few technical details to our license server, listed below.
- Payments are handled by Paddle. We never see your card details.
2. What the Apps send to our license server
- A device fingerprint: a one-way SHA-256 hash of your computer's hardware ID, salted with the App's name. We can't turn it back into the hardware ID, and the hash for one App can't be matched to the hash for another.
- A device label, such as "MacBook Air (M2, 2022) · macOS 26.1 · …3F2A", so you can tell your computers apart when you manage your license. We don't collect your computer's name or your user name.
- Your license key, and when your trial started and your license was activated or last checked.
We use this only to run the free trial, activate licenses, enforce the 3-computer limit, let you remove computers, and stop refunded licenses from working. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing license abuse.
Optional downloads. Some Apps (for example, our voice dictation app) can download larger optional files, such as speech recognition models. This only happens when you click the download button, which shows the file size first. The file comes from the source named next to the button (for example, huggingface.co); that site sees your IP address like any download, and nothing else is sent.
Our servers see your IP address when the App connects, as any internet service does. We use it only to block abusive traffic and don't store it with your license.
3. When you buy
Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record and processes your payment, billing address, and email address under its own privacy policy. From Paddle we receive and keep only the transaction ID, the Paddle customer ID, which App you bought, and whether the order was refunded. We use these to issue your license key and to help you if you lose it.
4. This website
The website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site.
5. Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting for this website and the license server (data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare operates).
- Paddle.com: checkout, payments, invoices, taxes, and refunds.
6. How long we keep it
License and device records are kept while your license or trial is in use and for up to 24 months afterward, to handle refunds, disputes, and license recovery. Trial records for a device are kept so the trial can't be restarted by reinstalling. You can ask us to delete your records at any time; we may keep what we need for tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and California law), you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@handycub.com with your license key or transaction ID so we can find your records. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The Apps are general-purpose tools and aren't directed at children under 13 (or 16 where local law requires).
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
